HEALYEG has partnered up with motionball for our annual motionBOWL bowling tournament on Saturday, March 15, hosted at Plaza Bowling Co.!

The tournament will consist of 24 teams of four to compete for the trophy and grand prize provided by our sponsors, in support of Special Olympic athletes through motionball. We encourage all teams to dress up in a theme to be entered into the contest for the best costume award!

motionball is a not-for-profit organization that empowers young Canadians to be leaders in their communities, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics so that individuals with intellectual disabilities can lead happier, healthier lives. Their mandate is to introduce the next generation of Canadian professionals and university students to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events, creating relevant, meaningful experiences that help bring the fun back into giving.

The tournament will include prizes, a raffle draw, a 50/50 draw, live DJ’s, and much more!

Pitch In Slow Pitch tournament is our annual summer main event. Each team selects an Edmonton-based charity on their registration form. HEAL YEG then donates funds raised at the tournament to the winning team’s charity of choice. Last year’s tournament champions, The Bombers, selected the MS Society of Canada to receive the over $6,000 we raised! The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. We have a membership of over 7,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services.

This year’s tournament is on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Henry Singer Park.
